About Tandem
Tandem is all about getting the most from where you live, work, have fun and do business. We have a passion for good design, quality and invention that is reflected in everything we do. With a natural simplicity, our designs are meant to be used and enjoyed every day, for a lifetime.
We are Jonathan and Simone Wright, an English and German husband and wife team with a wide range of experience and expertise, from furniture design and making to interiors and architecture.
If this makes us sound like we do not one, but several things – it’s true, we do. And we do all of them with creativity, diligence and excellent customer care.
We design and make all our furniture in our Devon workshop using only certified European timber and natural oil finishes. We’re flexible enough to design and build furniture for domestic, commercial and public settings, but what never changes is our belief in making products which are inventive, elegant and timeless.
When we work on architectural or interior projects we work with you as partners. We understand that we’re in the business of delivering projects for clients, but we also know our clients share many of our beliefs in timeless designs, sustainable materials and how space and furniture work together.
And having a lot in common with our clients results in the kind of honesty and trust which characterises the best working relationships.
