The design of this small courtyard garden has been realised using curved insitu concrete walls and a composition of oak, narrow random slate paving together with planted and graveled areas. To maximise the use of this limited, north-east facing space, a curved oak bench has been introduced utilising the dark brown courtyard wall which stores the warmth of the sun. Opening onto the slate paved seating area, the lines of the curves continue to define raised beds and a small pond at the narrow end of the yard.
