Graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BA(Hons) in Architecture, Jonathan has many years experience as a freelance interior designer and designer maker, including working for renown architectural practices and design companies in London.
After relocating to Devon, Jonathan continued to work as freelance designer and interior design consultant whilst undertaking contemporary eco furniture commissions and developing his furniture design range. From 2002 he ran the BA(Hons) Furniture & Interior Design Course at the University of Plymouth until he set up Tandem in 2005.
Jonathan has strong design skills combined with knowledge and understanding of space and environment owing to his architectural background. His membership in the Devon Guild Of Craftsmen is proof of his high quality making skills.

Graduating from Munich University of Applied Sciences with a Diploma in Architecture in 2000, Simone has since worked as an architect with leading practices in Devon, including Harrison Sutton Partnership and Form Design Group Architects. She gained experience on a variety of new build and conversion projects, refurbishment of listed buildings, masterplanning and feasibility studies, with work including residential, educational and commercial developments.
Simone has a particular interest in energy efficient and sustainable design, including eco refurbishment. Through working with a leading eco architect's practice during recent years she gained thorough knowledge of design approach and technical aspects of energy efficiency in architecture. She joined Tandem in 2009, strengthening the business' field of architecture and interior design with high design skills and diverse architectural experience.
